President Kiir on a 3-day visit to South Africa
South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayaridit on Thursday morning traveled to Pretoria, South Africa to hold bilateral talks with his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ateny Wek Ateny, the press secretary to the president, told Radio Tamazuj that Kiir and Ramaphosa will discuss issues that will strengthen and deepen bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said that during the three-day visit, the two leaders will also discuss the progress made and challenges facing the implementation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan.
According to Ateny, the president is in the company of the newly appointed Minister of Presidential Affairs Hon. Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Beatrice Khamisa Wani and about 17 technocrats.
